PARCOURS

Due to the heat, we have decided to walk or run only a NEW 6.5km course. This includes an optional loop with an extra water station and more shade!

Between trees and trails unfolds the Amsterdam Forest Theatre. Everything you need, in one place. This map guides you to first aid, drinking water, toilets, the afterparty, and more.

LOCATION

HEAT PROTOCOL

We’ve taken extra precautions to help you beat the heat:

  • 3 Water stations (with optional electrolytes)

  • 2 First Aid zones

  • 2 Ice coolers filled with ice

  • Adjusted route with >90% in shade

  • Advice for beginners: please join the walk

Tip: Bring light clothing and a water bottle you can refill

Pro tip: Bring swimwear and jump in the lake afterwards!

WHY 128,8 KM?

This is exactly the circumference of the Maró Indigenous Territory, an area of 42,000 hectares of rainforest (40x larger than the Amsterdam Forest) deep in the Brazilian Amazon, which is well protected by the Borarí and Arapiun Indigenous people of the territory.

Forest Guardians patrol and protect the entire area to detect illegal logging and halt deforestation. Chief Dadá Borarí, the Indigenous leader of the area, and his people need our support to expand their protection measures and keep as many hectares of forest under protection as possible.

How exactly do we use donations?
